Charlotte Toohill
I am a Senior at Le Roy Jr.-Sr. High School, I'm heavy involved in are FFA Chapter and on the Cheerleading team for both football and basketball. This year I am the Treasure for are Le Roy FFA officer team. I used to think I wasn't a very creative student until I got into my first art class last year as a high schooler. That's when I learned I had many skills that have bubbling under the surface for many years. I now like to think outside the box and create work that is unique and reflects my work ethic. My friends like to say my work comes first before anything even sleep and I have experienced that more are more often as I get more involved with my work. Working outside and getting my hands dirty is a year round thing for me, I'm not the kind of person that likes to stay behind a screen working all day. Although I love working with animals and doing hard labor, I can work on my arts, crafts, designing for hours on end and lose track of the time.

2019 - 2020 School Year
This year I am taking College Prep (Collage writing and Speech), Economics, Environmental Science, and Graphic Design at BACC. I will also be doing a Senior Internship / Job Shadowing at many different businesses and workplaces, on the weekends and days when we are off for school. I am looking forward to having a pretty laid back Senior year but also be able to take in everything that I can to use to my advantage in the future. Although my Senior year many seem fun and easy I know in my mind it will be that busiest and craziest year yet of my high school career. I can't wait for all the new and exiting opportunities that this year will offer me to start my life as a young adult.

Activities and Clubs
For the list of Activities and Clubs I'm involved in can go on for days, but here are just a few: FFA, 4-H, Youth Group in Heyworth, Livestock and Horse judging, Showing Livestock from horses to rabbits and everything in-between, multiple IL and American Association. I have been involved in 4-H since I was 9 years old and loved showing my livestock and I loved it so much that now every chance I get I'm out in the ring helping the little newbie's or adults that have been doing it longer than I have. There are so many people and experience I've made though these programs I don't know where I would be with out them. They have helped me grow and formed me into the person I am today.

BACC Graphic Design
This year I was actually schedule to have an internship at are local Den Graphix but unfortunately was not able to work there. While I was in my normal Graphic Design class this year at Le Roy my teacher mentioned the Graphic Design class at BACC but was already a senior and couldn't sign up, until I found out I was no longer doing my main Senior Internship there was a spot that might be available for me to take a BACC class. Although I may not have been planning to take this class as of the beginning of August I'm so exited to be able to join this class and advance my skills in Graphic and Digital Design.
On the left is one of my person logos for my business, and hope to use the new skills I learn to upgrade my logo and business designs. I also plan on going to collage and getting a degree in Graphic Design and Animal Science to combing the two and make a real small business that has been my dad and I's dream for many many years. |
